We the undersigned, supports the public's call for the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Red Line Extension Project (95th Dan Ryan to 130th Doty Road) be added to the Federal FY 2011-12 Transportation Re-Authorization Bill. This project will increase the public's access to jobs, quality health care, education, produce economic development, leverage private investment, and reduce both air pollution and travel time for Far Southside mass transit users.
I have been spending my evenings mapping out exactly how much time people in my community lose just waiting for buses that never come. Your stories about missing shifts and medical appointments keep me working on this project late into the night.

Seeing this momentum grow reminds me of how many neighbors on the Far Southside have been waiting decades for this connection. It is validating to realize that so many people understand why this extension is about far more than just tracks in the ground.

About time! The commute is absolutely brutal especially in the winter. Extending the line is the only way to help these neighborhoods grow.

The far south side gets left behind every single time. People need a way to get to work without spending 2 hours on a bus. Fix this.
