45 Minutes is a small amount of time for a student who wants to go out to eat and enjoy their lunch with friends. It takes a while to get to your car and actually drive to the place, or walk. After that you have to order the food and wait for it while you calculate when you have to leave to actually get to class on time. That leaves a small gap of about 10 minutes to "enjoy" your food? Mix all of that with the rush of having to get back to class, showing up sweaty from all the running you just did on a full stomach. If the lunch time gets extended by a mere 15 minutes it would be beneficial to students who are struggling to get to class on time.It also alleviates undue stress on cafeteria resources. Teachers don't eat their lunch rushed, so why should students? Think about it, it would allow students the opportunity to decompress for afternoon classes.
