Pease Elementary school is an HISTORICAL landmark that holds MANY memories from my DIFFICULT and CHALLENGING childhood. I'm a 45 yrs. old, African American woman now, who walks the halls of this AMAZING institution with a SMILE daily. I still speak of the wonderful memories of my years at this INCREDIBLE school along with my older brother! I can't imagine the thought of taking a road trip from Houston to Austin; as I do several times a year, passing by and it's NOT there, OPEN and EDUCATING the MANY children in its local community. Please DON'T close OUR school! It means too MUCH to it's Alumni and current students. As well, it HOLDS so MANY beautiful memories for me, from a otherwise haunting PAST. God bless Pease Elementary!
