It is important that Ewan McGregor, who portrayed Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars Episodes I-III, to have the opportunity to meet the true Star Wars fans and not the "parasitic lowlifes" who only want to profit off of his name (excluding those in the movie business, of course). We also want him to know that his performance as Obi-Wan Kenobi was greatly appreciated by most fans regardless of some opinions about the overall quality of the films.

In a recent interview with men's magazine Details Mr. McGregor expressed his distaste with those who want him to sign photos only to sell them on the Internet and those who crush children against barriers just to get him to sign photos of Obi-Wan Kenobi at movie premieres. Agreed, those are not true fans.

He also noted the criticism that he has personally heard about Star Wars: Episodes I - The Phantom Menace and even though he said that doesn't bother him, it is important to note that fans approve of his performance as the character we know and love.

If Ewan McGregor were to attend and participate in fan conventions like Star Wars Celebration, he would be able to meet so many great people that he would otherwise not be able to convene with and get a better sense of who the true fans are. Star Wars fans come in all different ages and backgrounds, they participate in charity and spread good will (notably costumer group members of 501st and Rebel Legions), and have a great sense of community and what's a better place to meet them than Star Wars Celebration VII at Anaheim in April 2015.
