This petition is being presented to parents of the East Valley Trojans to recall the Board of Directors in total.  Though it is recognized that some board members have acted in accordance with their fiduciary responsibilities as members elected by the parents, the overall failure of the board in a number of specific instances has resulted in a loss of faith in the Board's ability to successfully manage the team and the team's best interests.  Members removed from the Board will have an opportunity to run for office again if nominated by the membership.   A list of specific complaints follows:

1.  Poor planning led to EVT losing its practice facility at Birmingham HS forcing our kids to practice at a public park where drug dealers and thugs hang out in the parking lot.

2.  A number of kids did not receive essential equipment such as jerseys and helmets until well into the season.

3.  Kids practiced in their game jerseys until well into the season and currently practice in their game pants.

4.  Problems with equipment such as missing screws, poor fitting helmets etc. were dealt with in a much less than timely or urgent manner if at all.

5.  Board members showed extreme poor judgment in handling a number of situations.  Examples include:

a.  George and Angie making a joint decision to kick kids off the team without full  consent of the Board (decision was later reversed by the full Board).
