The glaring problem within our neighborhood is the vacant lot which is located next to the Villas Del Sol II complex in the Villas Del Mar sector of Juan Dolio, Dominican Republic. This lot has bee neglected by its owners for many years and is now being inhabited by squatters who are urinating and defecating on the premises (attracting many rodents and vermin) and using this property as a refuge for illegal Haitian immigrants and harbour deseased dogs and chickens. The property is also collapsing and is very unfit to live in and is unsafe and a potential fire hazard for our street.
