Comments: I believe Eventing should stay in because, not only is it one of the most grueling athletic events, it is also one of the greatest challenges between horse and rider. Leave it in!

Comments: I think TV coverage of the Olympics is horrendous. I would also rather watch fencing or ping-pong than the weepy biographies that NBC shoves at its viewers.

Comments: However, please don't try to go at it from the "human interest" angle, which is really pukey. I remember TV equestrian coverage from the last olympics and is focused on the personal relationships between the human riders rather than the sports aspects of the horse & rider performances. For example, there was lots of fawning over one couple who rode jumpers and about how much in love they were. Everyone who knew the couple personally thought that was a real joke because she is a bitch and he is pussy-whipped. The general public isn't, I don't think, as uninterested in the horse & rider performances as that broadcast seemed to assume. "Everyone" thinks horses are beautiful and enjoy watching them. That is why to this day "Everyone" still loves Secretariat. Please pay special attention to a sport that will be at the olympics altho not yet an official olympic sport: Reining. Reining is the first "western" riding event to be admitted to the United States Equestrian Team. It is very exciting to watch, with dizzying spins and sliding stops and a crowd of watchers who whistle and encourage and applaud the performers.

Comments: Seeing as how the equestrian discipline is the only olympic sport that allows males and females to compete on equal levels, the sport deserves more coverage than the pathetic minutes (not hours) it does receive.
