Name: Clifton Wallace Jr on Feb 23, 2008State: VACountry: USComments: ev1 was a great car in every sense of the word. i am employed by a gm dealer and i know the ins and outs of vehicles as i have worked on them for the past ten years. gm has done virtually nothing to increase fuel mileage and lower emmissions. there meager attempts with this new 08 hybrid tahoe is a joke. ev technology is here now and can be produced to be affordable. several people in the ev community have retrofitted conventional gas cars that get 250-300 miles on a charge. come on GM and have a back bone and a sense of environmental awareness your killing us with these gas drinking v8s and the time is now for change. dependance on foreign oil is killing our boys overseas. lets take big oil behind the barn and give -em a real ass whoopin and go electric. i may go un heard but there certainly is power in numbers. the govt. should not be feared fore its the govt who should fear its people when there children have uncertain futures because of ceos and politicians lie in bed together. change or be run over..............THE TIME IS NOW WE WANT OUR EVS BACK LET YOUR MORALS GUIDE YOU AND LET GOD HELP US ALLFlag

I hope foreign car makers beat them to the punch and make a fortune and put them out of business. They deserve at least that for what they've done. They've made their bed with the oil companies and big business and politicians and now they can lie in it!Flag

Now that both the Country, and your company, need a popular car than runs on something other than gasoline; please just ramp up EV1 production again. You can make money in providing the American people with a car that meets their economic, energy, and environmental needs. Thank you.Flag
