| 1009 | stephen marks | |
| 1010 | Kevin Coleman | After nearly a 1000 years of self rule it seems incredible that a so-called British Government should 'give' our independence up on the basis of such a blatantly and obviously one sided piece of bureaucracy that gives control of our nation to an unelected and biased group of faceless individuals. It is blatantly obvious from the publicity that this is the same document as was rejected by France and the Netherlands in 2005, with merely a few insignificant changes having been made.
I say 'we vote' on this document. The long term implications for Britain and her people are too great and complex to be trusted to the trust of a handful of politicians with a 'personal' opinion rather than an honest, open and loyal disposition towards the welfare and freedoms of the United 'Free and Independat' Kingdom of Great Britain |
| 1011 | Trevor Alford | |
| 1012 | Janine Price | No, no and thrice no! We must look to sever our ties with Europe and not be forced, against the will of the majority of the United Kingdom, to become deeper embroiled in a European Federal state. |
| 1013 | Paul Hurworth | Good stuff Nirj. Good luck at the next election |
| 1014 | Thomas AM Cook | The proposed Constitution surrenders too many of our national rights and vetos. We must have a referendum. |

| 1023 | Arron Bardoe | Blair, Brown and New Labour are more concerned with their "legacies" than what is right for the British people. |
| 1024 | Rosemary Doyle | We need to safeguard our country's interests and not be governed by unelected bodies outside our country. |
| 1025 | pamela june pullen | This has my wholehearted support. We must have a Referendum. |
| 1026 | David Rumsey | Promises, promises! when will the government of this country actually fullfill its promises.
Creating an EU Presidency! Blair signed us up for this, does he perchance have ideas way above his station? |

| 1028 | Cllr. Pat Coleman | A referendum was promised and remains a democratic right of every British subject. |
| 1029 | R A Smith | |
| 1030 | Stan Saunders | Let the people have a vote and make their own choice , if we are not allowed to it will be because Gordon Brown is afraid of taking a hammering as he would have done if we had had an election ! |
| 1031 | Peter Clint | The Government and Mr Brown promised a referendum. As an all party committee has informed us the new Constitution differs very little from that rejected earlier by other members states , the Prime Minister owes this country a moral obligation to allow a referendum to take place. If he does not, then he and his party do not deserve our support |
| 1032 | Mrs A.J. Clint | The Prime Minister must honour his committment by allowing a referendum. Not to do so would demonstrate he is a man not to be trusted, after all this constitution will touch every part of our lives. |
| 1033 | Anonymous | We definately MUST have a referendum. It was promised to us. |
| 1034 | adrian martell | KEEP YOUR PROMISE MR BROWN AND GIVE US THE REFERENDUM .IF YOU DONT YOU ARE A TRAITOR AND SHOULD BE TRIED FOR TREASON IN A COURT OF LAW. |
| 1035 | Patricia Spight | I am completely against the signing of this new Constitution. |
| 1036 | Anonymous | MR BLAIR - I REST MY CASE . . .traitor:- someone who betrays his country by committing treason - double-crosser: a person who says one thing and does another -
In law, treason is the crime of disloyalty to one's nation. A person who betrays the nation of their citizenship and/or reneges on an oath of loyalty and in some way willfully cooperates with an enemy, is considered to be a traitor. Oran's Dictionary of the Law (1983) defines treason as: "...[a]...citizen's actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, or seriously injure the [parent nation]." In many nations, it is also often considered treason to attempt or conspire to overthrow the government, even if no foreign country is aided or involved by such an endeavour"... ...
