Thank you to everybody who has signed this petition or the paper version which is also in circulation. The situation continues to worsen and we would be grateful if you would encourage your family, friends and colleagues to add their signatures. By the end of 2009 26 dead turtles had been discovered in our area. We are also told that 25 were discovered in the adjacent Akrotiri area. Current flows and decomposition levels indicate that many of these were also killed off our beaches. The majority of killings were deliberate. We have already found new bodies in 2010.To date to our knowledge the SBA Chief Officer has done nothing to effectively address the issue. Indeed despite his stating as long ago as September 2009 that he would contact us to arrange a meeting in the 'near future' we are still awaiting his call!
