Name: Candie Glisson on Jul 12, 2010Comments: I cannot even begin to imagine there NOT being a Veterans Lake Memorial for whatever reason! My son's name, US Army SGT Jason Schumann, KIA (Iraq) 19 May 2007 is on the Memorial, and I know his Spirit is there. I also know Jason would be HORRIFID if Heroes from former wars did not have a wood chip trail to use, or if pesticides were ultized. My son spent his summers at one of the most pristine lakes in Minnesota--this would make him ill. Please, do not this. John Enstrom a man who has done something the State of Minnesota will not do and that is to Honor Our Fallen from the Global War on Terrorism, and you are, in essence, blackmailing him! Shame on you! These young men died terrible, unnatural deaths. Doesn't a place of organic beauty make sense where they can be honored? Doesn't a place where where where events to raise and help their fellow soldiers/veterans make sense? I implore you you, please do not do this! This is just wrong what the (ACOE) are doing. ACOE should be helping make this project happen. Laws can be changed or exceptions made.Flag

Name: Mark And Deb Duren on Jul 13, 2010Comments: The Enstroms did their very best to follow the law and build a Veterans Memorial Park. ACOE and LRRWMO are out of line on this. They should be ashamed of themselves and their organizations. It appears they are trying to use state laws to extort money from the Enstrom's. Simply unbelievable.Flag

Name: Barb Tangedahl on Jul 13, 2010Comments: I think the incompetent morons that are against this memorial should find a better way to spend the tax dollars of the Minnesota tax payers, than fight a beautiful tribute to those that have served us and our country. As a tax payer I say NO to paying lawyers to destroy this memorial. This man owns this land, leave him alone.Flag
