A major oversight on my part was recently pointed out, so I wanted to quickly address who will be the intended recepients of this petition:1. The Committees responsible for liturgy in the English-speaking Bishop's Conferences, especially the United States, Canada, UK, Ireland, and Australia. Note that this is not an exhaustive list, and I would welcome links to other conferences' Liturgy Committees.2. The Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments in the Roman Curia.I've chosen these organizations as I anticipate the "wait" petition to be sent to some, if not all, of them. I've received a couple of emails thinking that Fr. Peter Stravinskas, who wrote the America Magazine article critiquing "What if We Just Said 'Wait'?", was also the author of this petition. In an effort to prevent future emails along that line, I want to assure you that I am not Fr. Stravinskas. Fr. Stravinskas is not affiliated with this petition, but obviously agrees with its intent. There's been some question regarding the donation request that pops up once you sign the petition. I want to make it clear that the donation is not required and goes to support iPetitions, not the creator of the petition. Now, I would encourage a small donation, if you feel so inclined, to thank iPetitions for providing this service. It did not cost anything to set up the petition, and they do not charge for any of the services used as part of running the petition. Many thanks to iPetitions for this service, and a huge THANK YOU! to everyone who has signed so far.

I've added a state of life field to the petition, much like the "What if We Said to Wait?" petition. It's an optional field, so feel free to skip this question if you so desire. Thanks to all who have signed so far, and please pass the word to all your friends!
