Name: Walter Bradway on Dec 17, 2012Comments: This should not be allowed to happen ever again. Of course schools need to enhance their protection protocols, but we as a nation, known for owning guns in excess, should have thoughtful laws in place to make every effort to protect our people.Flag

Name: Isaac Chestang on Dec 17, 2012Comments: Requirements for having guns should go up. Stiffer requirements and we need to to more to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. The only reason that some people have guns at home is because homes are being invaded by people armed with guns. There are so many things that we could do to help with gun violence like Feinstien is working on. No excuses Mr. President, we've heard it all before it's time for action. It's not rocket science common sense upholding of existing laws and the reinacting of expired laws would be a start. Look at us now. We spend so much on security because of our increasingly violent culture. Let's work to reverse the violence. We have the biggest war that we will ever have to fight here at home, it just keeps growing and eventually if we do not stop it it will be like Juarez Mexico. Gang violence is only growing and will not lessen unless we do something. It will not just go away.Flag

Name: Judith A. Zimmerman on Dec 17, 2012Comments: We need to enact new gun safety laws, and enforce the ones currently on the books! Children need to feel safe in their schools. We need to place a ban on assault rifles and extended cartridge magazines. GUN SAFETY SHOULD BE OUR NUMBER 1 ISSUE. Funding for Mental Health care has been devestated. These families have been left on their own to deal with these issues.Flag

Making it illegal to own the bullets and clips will help prevent further tragedies with the weapons already owned by citizens. No half-way measures please! Thank you.Flag
