Name: Joel S. Gershon on Apr 30, 2011Graduating Year.: 1964Comments: College athletics should always be about the students. The student experience should always remain the number one focus. The student athlete is motivated by the support of his peers. Future recruits want to know what role will their fellow students play in their experience. The bigger question is what does the letters UCLA really stand for? GO BRUINS!Flag

Name: Samantha Esguerra on Apr 30, 2011Graduating Year.: 2011Comments: As a Den member for 3 years, I stand right beside my fellow Bruins, both current and alumni, to return the Den student section to the sidelines. For the future UCLA students, I hope they can have the same athletic experience I had during my undergraduate career. There really is nothing like sitting in the Den during a UCLA basketball game.Flag

It was a very important of our college experience, and also of mine as a little girl, so see the UCLA Bruin students sit in solidarity. They're paying tuition and they're the students that the school is supposedly playing for ... don't do this!!!!!Flag

Name: Joseph Magpayo on May 1, 2011Graduating Year.: 1996Comments: The Morgan Center needs to realize that the students are future donors and customers to the Pauley Pavillion experience. Moving them is detrimental to the success of the program as well. When taking a view of other "basketball schools" across the country such as Duke, the student section at Cameron Indoor Arena is right next to the court and helps to inject energy into the crowd and to provide a hostile environment to visiting teams. It also helps in recruiting. Although 11 national championship banners in the rafters are impressive, those banners don't cheer on the team. Who wants to play basketball in front of a listless (alumni) crowd?Flag
