Comments: LCBO's selection is rubbish. It creates a hostile environment for start-ups in Ontario, who have only ONE avenue to sell their products. Our selection is being determined by Big Brother, and it's crap.

Comments: The basic economic argument is that crown corporations cannot utilize resources at minimum cost because they tend to become bureaucratic, confused and inefficient that alone shows proof that privatization of the llbo can work with a reasonable profit for all involved

Comments: I am a part-time Ontario resident currently living outside of Canada now. I have worked for both the Brewer's Retail of Ontario and the LCBO. Both of these organizations make me sick. Brewer's Retail is privately owned and government regulated. Neither of these organizations is in the service industry. They don't care at all about customer satisfaction. The laws governing alcohol in Ontario are outdated. Now that I have enjoyed alcohol outside of Ontario I no longer bother to drink when visiting Ontario. It is just too stressful to arrange a night out for drinks in Toronto. Many people of all ages feel the same. This only hurts Ontario's tourism industry and Ontarians as no one could possibly find it a desirable destination for a holiday or a place to simply enjoy a drink. Lastly if the government really wanted to stop people from drinking and driving they would make public transit efficient and affordable. As well the government would get out of the taxi licensing business which makes taxis unaffordable. The whole province is awash in ridiculous laws prohibiting the basic enjoyment of a drink. You cannot have a beer while you are fishing. You can't have a beer in your boat. You can't take your drink to the washroom because the washroom is not licensed for alcoholic beverages. You can't stand on the patio and have a drink because the patio is only licensed for the 10 chairs we have and there are already 10 patrons sitting here now. Oh no here comes the liquor inspector from the LLBO! What is all that smart serve garbage about? Thank God for the airplanes that take me away from Ontario.

Comments: We the people of this province are being subjected to a government that is not listening to itspeople. How stupid are we to put up with thisB.S. from these elected two face people who are cheating us out of fair pricing. Their reasoning is so stubit. These FAT CATS USELESS PIECES OF DONG SHOULD BE KICKED OUT OF THE GOVERNMENT ON THEIR BEHINDS. LET'S DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. i HAVE PURCHASED ALCOHOL MANY TIMES FROM GROCERY STORES IN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN WITH NO PROBLEM. NEVER HAVE iSEEN OR HEARD OF ANY PROBLEMS WITH FAMALIES DOING GROCERY SHOPPING AND BUYING LIQUOR AT THE SAME TIME. OF COURSE WE KNOW THAT OUR GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS KNOW THIS, AS THEY PROBABLY DO THEIR LIQUOR SHOPPING OVER THERE AS WELL. i AM SICK AND TIRED OF BEING USED AND MADE A FOOL OF. LET'S VOTE THESE IDIOTS OUT OF OFFICE.

Comments: The LCBO will still be viable as a chain of excellent shops. However, it is extremely unjust, particularly to Ontario brewers, that our liquor laws provide a monopoly to the LCBO and the Beer Store, which is owned exclusively by non-Canadian businesses.
