| 63 | Patricia Dinsmore | I do believe that the LCBO served a purpose when it was formed years and years and years ago. However, they have grown well past that point of usefullness and are now only a hindrance to the majority of the 140 wineries attempting to operate in our province.
Changes need to be made to improve our system - this affects more than just the wineries. It affects our whole economy because, eventually, those wineries going out of business will equate to other businesses (in other industries) suffering. |

| 71 | Anonymous | It would be an extremely positive change to see a greater distribution of income and consumer convenience/benefits if the government would end monopoly activity in the sale of wine and liquor in Canada. Increased competition would translate into lower prices to consumers, a stronger stimulus into the economy generating more jobs, and a strengthening of the already beaten-up, struggling-to-survive, small-business grocery stores scattered all across the city. Of course, government monetary gains would be huge selling off rights and slashed operations costs. The time for change is now. |

It has justsbeen in the last ten years or so where the Beer Store has opened up their hours of operation due to demand. We need another source to purchase these products to force competition and consumer convenience. |
| 75 | Anonymous | The only way we can create a world-class wine industry is by actually supporting our wineries. Stop making it harder for me to buy wine made in my own province than from the other side of the world. Privatize the sale of wine in Ontario today. |
| 76 | Scott Ryan | It is a huge issue that the LCBO takes a cut of wine that is harvested, created and sold at our local wineries. |

| 85 | Jason Fowler | This ridiculous legalized price fixing, profit driven monopoly must end. Consumers must have access to a wider variety of products, purchase locations, and lower prices. |
| 86 | Dustin Studerus | End the Monopoly now......End the union wages provided by my tax dollars and beer money. |
| 87 | Anonymous | Much of the rest of the developed world allows sale of liquor through private businesses. Why must we be sold to by a monopoly? |

| 90 | Anonymous | I believe that if all retailers are held to the same accountability levels as those imposed on the employees at the Beer Store and the LCBO that there should be no more problems created by allowing our cornerstores to sell alcohol. The government wants us to believe all the "safety" related B.S. because the hold the pricing monopoly on alcohol sales. Its about time that us Canadians enjoy the ability to purchase alcohol at reduced prices. Selling booze at corner stores or at a reduced price is not going to make drunkards out of us all as some would make us believe, like the ones that said we have to jack the price of "a buck a beer" up because people are drinking too much more beer because of the cheap price! Give me a break! Get over it! How about a little fairness here? |
