ClementineWhilst I understand the need for the model to have a figure that shows off clothing well size 0 models have no place on the catwalk. It's a ridiculous ideal. Women should stop letting people judge them based on their measurements.
Sarah WilkinsThe media and fashion industry need to take responsibility for promoting positive body images

LaurenI personally have never suffered from a serious eating disorder but have spent a year in hospital with people who have. After seeing the affects of the media I personally think that it's disgusting and should be clamped down on.

Carissa Forbes'The finest clothing made is a person's skin, but, of course, society demands something more than this' ~Mark Twain question? how many more deaths will it take before the industry realises, these models are suffers of both their shape and the style they promote!

victoria gauldtryin to b size zero also promotes drug abuse to lose weight
Ryan RandallHaving women extremly thin as fashion models is a bad example and such women do not look very attractive. Allowing extremely thin women to be fashion models is a big cause of eating disorders among young women. It is time that this issue is dealth with once and for all and women of average fugures should replace the stick insects of super models we currently have!

shalythecuteei'm strongly agree with the petition..they should know that being an extremely thin women is not the character to be a Model..
michelleOverly thin models are unattractive. Put decent sized women (and men) on the catwalks. And by 'decent sized' I do not mean all size 8. I'm talking size 10 upwards. It's about time we had a real representation of male/female sizing in front of us because too many guys/girls feel bad when they're not super thin in comparison to the stick-thin unhealthy models that are paraded in the media.
sandie collinsHopefully this outrageous starvation of young girls will stop. Young girls need to know that they are beautiful for being who they are and not the resemblance of a stick instect - whcih actually makes them look quite ugly.

stephen jamesReal people are diverse. Tall, short, large, small, etc. We should celebrate natural diversity, not force people to conform to a stereotype by unnatural means such as starvation diets and eating disorders.

charlotte copikIt's about time that women with curves are appreciated and that even 'perfect size 10's' are not made to feel fat! As an ex-model I'm convinced that this pressure leads to eating disorders. This is not what the public demands, it is media led brainwashing. Women who promote and aspire to size zero should be ashamed of themselves. They are lucky they have food to eat, unlike concentration camp vicitms and victims of famine!
