Marked by overbreeding and poor living conditions, puppy mills are large scale breeding operations that sell pets through stores, the internet and puppy swap meets. Profit is often more important that animal welfare. Sellers charge big bucks for puppies but the highest price is the cost of suffering endured by parents of these animals. We, the residents of Hawaii, and animal lovers, stand with Hawaiian Humane Society and against puppy mills, as well as the people and businesses that sell these animals for profit. We believe in stronger regulation of these businesses and better laws to protect animals in puppy mills. Hawaii faces a huge pet overpopulation problem that has led to thousands of unwanted, homeless and abandoned animals MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER TO COMPLETE THIS PETITION.
