My name is Amy Berg-Iverson. I’m 15 and have dedicated my life to animals since I was 6. I have started an association called Animal Welfare Association (AWA). http://animalwelfareassociation.yolasite.com/. This website will give you all the information about me and my goal. My first goal, which I will not stop until achieved, is to stop animal testing. In my point of view animal testing is the most disgusting and deceiving of all experimentation. The people who participate in this act are sick. Associations, like the SPCA, disagree with animal abuse along with the majority of the population. Yet those that test on animals abuse them. PETA has inside footage of a scientist picking a dog up, hitting it, shaking it, and roughly placing it down. The abuse to the animals shouldn’t even be the reason people think animal testing should end. I believe the sneaky secrets, pointless pain, and the future of the animals is the main point. Even high tech computers are unable to show interactions between cells, tissues, organs, organisms and molecules making animal research necessary. A dog is not a human. Do we where hairspray in our eyes? No, we certainly do not. But testers put hairspray and other products in the eyes of their helpless captives. They even test cigarettes on animals even though it is illegal and a deadly item. A perfect example of pointless testing only for the satisfaction of torture. Humans have enough beauty products yet selfishly we need more. When you buy your medication remember that is was tested on an animal therefore it is only 50% safe. Unless you want to foolishly believe that an animal could be a human. One bottle of shampoo equals the death of many innocent animals. Just pure innocent creatures not knowing any other life. Please for a moment picture yourself being locked in a cold dark room that smells of nothing you ever knew and being in pain that no one would ever understand or stop. Tossed like a rag doll, cut apart, treated like you mean nothing at all...for the rest of your life. Animals may not be human but they feel just like we do. Animal testing ends now.
