| 60 | LINDA LOMAN | Please pass this legislation now. The majority of American's polled do NOT want to see horse slaughter - in America or elsewhere - continue. The horse is NOT intended as a source of meat. You have heard all the arguments and, if able, have seen the horific conditions our horses are subjected to. We as a people cannot right every wrong, stop every horror. But you, our leaders, have the power to stop this wrong, this horror. Vote today to end horse slaughter and make your fellow Americans proud. |

| 62 | Mercy M. Turano | Let the entire country know the truth - expose just how dirty, shameful and inhumane horses are being treated just to please the palate of foreigners. Americans do not eat horses and would be shocked & outraged at their suffering, first during transit and then at the plant. |
| 63 | Mary Holomy | Slaughter of horses is a horrific, inhumane practice that should be banned at the Federal level. I am proud to say that the State of Illinois banned the practice and closed down the horror that was Cavel. Please, consider the views of the vast majority of Americans and pass HR503/S311. Thank you. |
| 64 | Pat Mendiola | We have seen the horrors of transport to and subsequent slaughter in Mexico and Canads and it is time to put an end to this barbaric practice.
America's horses are waiting for you to save their lives. |

| 68 | D. Reid Wiseman | We have no reverence for these magnificant animals reintroduced to North America by the
Spaniards? Are you aware of the inhumane transport of horses from Spain to Italy for
slaughter? |
| 69 | Teri Paquette | Please stop the cruel inhumane practice of horse slaughter in our country. The majority of Americans are against this horrible practice and horses are not eaten in this country. Horses helped build this country and should be honored not sent to foriegn countries as a delicacy. |
| 70 | Pedro Mendiola | 70% of Americans are against horse slaughter. Why are these bills not passed?
Protect our equines from transport and subsequent slaughter. Pass SB 311 and HR 503 now. |
| 71 | Denise A. Riccio | Hopefully, Congress will agree that America does not want this cruel and inhumane practice to continue. |
| 72 | Denise Podell | |
| 73 | Herb Marchman | |
| 74 | Stephanie Pierce | I am appealing to your sense of decency to end this inhumane and horrific practice to our horses which played a major role in the history of our nation.
"WE THE PEOPLE , FOR THE PEOPLE" this should be taken into consideration because "WE THE PEOPLE" are speaking out to you! |
| 75 | Carrie Gobernatz | This will be the year of the HORSE !!!
And the day the Billed is passed to close our borders and protect our HORSES from slaughter,
we will celebrate with the HORSES !!!!
We can whisper in their soft ears and say,
NOW YOU ARE SAFE MY LOVE, NOW YOU ARE SAFE !!!!!!!! |
| 76 | Nona VanDamme | Its time we end this brutal attack on our Equine.
Time to end the death traps rides the horses endure in the double deck trailers. The majority of Americans DO NOT want this slaughter and the message is the 3 plants have closed so its time to end the transport out of this country. The Europeans are the only ones winning with the loss of our horses. There are certainly enough rescues and facilities that want horses and the fact this false statement of UNWANTED HORSES is passed around the Senate and House.
Lets get updated on this. How man;y videos do they need to see or pictures do they need to view to see the healthy, babies and pregnant mares and geldings that go to slaughter? HUMM???
Lets stand up and talk, for the horses. It is our duty and the dury of this administration to end the horse slaughter. Please end this slaughter and vote to pass HR 503 and S.311. The house passed this in 2006, andit should have passed the Senate in 2006, buty as usual the delay tactics of our Sentate continue to destroy the nations ability to get laws passed that the AMERICANS WANT. The horses have been put on the back burner; WhY?? The senate is listening to baseball players steroid use?
I have no desire to know why baseball players use steroids. That is their personal decision. Stop wasting time on such petty issues that do not concern the welfare of an animal. WE HAVE HORSES TO SAVE FROM BRUTAL TRANSPORT AND DEATH FOR FOREIGN CONSUMPTION.
Thank you for your time. |

| 100 | Carolyn Guidera | The American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act has been on the table way too long. This is not about PETA. This is not about being a vegetarian. This is about the passage of a bill so that we can continue efforts to properly educate humans on horse ownership responsibiites which are really no different than dog or cat ownership, as well as vet & care for those horses currently caught in the down turn of this economy with owners unable to care for their horses. |
