Name: Anonymous on Aug 28, 2007Comments: Children's lives are devastated. Families are ripped apart. The laws have to be strengthened to put these monsters away. There is no treatment. Research has proved this time and time again. The only treatment is to remove the predators from society.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 28, 2007Comments: It is hoped that this petition will clearly indicate that there is a ground-swell of opinion regarding the leniency afforded to sex offenders who harm our young children. For the child it is an emotional and psychological life sentence.Flag

Name: Joanne Greenwood on Aug 28, 2007Comments: I am appalled by the decision in the casse of Michael Porter and Kieth Fenn. I am a mother of a young child and the thought of my daughter coming ito contact with these types of people terrifies me. As a father you must feel the same way. Please please please do what you can to ensure tougher sentences for violent and sexual crimes against children. They are just children and cannot defend themselves. If we do not stand up for them who will Many thanks and good luck in your role as PM.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 28, 2007Comments: Personally, I think that convicted paedophiles should be stoned in street - there would be plenty of us to do it. Castration should be the treat given to rapists - and then put in a prison cell with murderers. Let them do something they're good at. People who get caught stealing should have a finger cut off. You bet they'd think twice about doing it again. There should be public voting on the bringing back of hanging. Politicians should only carry out the wishes of the general public and I don't think my views are in the minority by any stretch of the imagination.... Britain is going down the pan and it's only going to get worse unless people have to face serious consequences for their actions.Flag
