Everyday I walk to my mailbox and pick up my mail. For as long as I can remember, the overwhelming majority of mail I receive is direct mail advertising from companies like American Express, The Learning Company, Insurance Companies and Credit Card Companies -- I'm sure you, fellow neighbor, have experienced the same. I ask these companies to stop sending me their direct mail advertisements, but nothing ever changes. When one company stops another company begins. Think about all waste, the trees that have been chopped down, the print production byproducts, the pollution from transportation, and the garbage costs associated with this destructive act. Please join me to END DIRECT MAIL in the United States. This negligent act should be outlawed!
