Name: Katrina Burton on Jan 23, 2007Comments: Daylight saving makes the day too long, its still light at 9 o'clock at night. If you need to get up early to converse with the eastern states you can. For people in northwest WA it isn't suitable.Flag

Name: Wendy Groves on Jan 23, 2007Comments: It's a bloody disgrace daylight saving has been instigated without a referendum, especially as I seem to recall one was held a number of years ago to a resounding 'no'. After suffering with daylight saving in Victoria for ten years and finally relocating to the west principIy to avoid it, I shall be moving to Queensland in three years if daylight saving is introduced permanently. Bring on independance for WA.Flag

Name: Marg Agnew on Jan 24, 2007Comments: There was no need to introduce day light saving into WA, the exisitng day light hours and time zone was perfect. To satisfy the government's goal, day light saving should only be trialed for 1 year and then ask the electors what they want, 3 years is just too long to put up with this systemFlag

Name: Ray Parsons on Jan 24, 2007Comments: Maybe I am cynical, but there can be no doubt that daylight saving was used as a diversionary tactic by Carpenter when faced with a very poorly performing Education Minister and the corruption inquiry finding that Norm Marlborough was indeed, just as most people had known for years.Flag

Name: Kaye Barber on Feb 8, 2007Comments: Are we a democracy I thought so, but unsure now. WA has said a big NO to daylight saving 3 times already. Is the government afraid of putting the issue back to the vote, or is the DLS issue a smoke screen for something else Wonder why governments are not trusted Take a closer look! Put this to a vote and if WA says yes, I will accept it but I will still vote no. Many business' start at 6am on a roster, why is the many sacrificed for the few, it's not right or ethical and I believe, not accepted by the majority.Flag

Name: Fiona Robinson on Feb 8, 2007Comments: Daylight Savings is ludicrous!! It is virtually impossible to put your children to bed at a reasonable hour when it is still daylight outside!! And it's not just that either. I'm finding it hard to get used to it too. I don't care what anyone else says, I'm getting up an hour earlier than ever before, and it's exhausting!! How is it possible that the Government can just choose to change the time, shouldn't that be one thing they shouldn't be able to change!! What do they think they are, Gods I find it incredibly hard to believe that this was forced upon us, without us having a say in it. And that it's supposed to continue until 2009!! We're supposed to be a democracy, yeah right...Flag

Name: Charmaine Robinson on Feb 8, 2007Comments: I can't believe we can say no and still get it!! I am a night owl but its not dark until nearly nine now. In class we discuss how we are in a democractic society but it seems more like a dictatorship to me!!! What happened to asking us what WE wantFlag
