Name: Luba on Dec 11, 2012Comments: I am afraid Marois and the PQ of Quebec have taken away our rights when it comes to working and speaking in English in Quebec! We are being FORCED to do EVERYTHING IN FRENCH when our mother tongue is ENGLISH. Walking into a department store, speaking on the telephone to get help we MUST SPEAK FRENCH. Unfortunately my French is not fluent and am really having a difficult time! Last summer my daughter and her family (Canadians) were here for a visit from Florida to spend time with her parents and she ran into difficulty at Canadian Tire store where the salespeople refused to speak in english. TO BE HONEST she and her husband as well as many others have left Quebec because of the language issues. I'm still trying to figure out how Quebec is going to prosper economically when it comes to the DICTATORSHIP of Marois and the PQ!. We are confronted with something new everyday! Is there anything as our PRIME MINISTER you are able to do ASP? Surely there must be something you can do to protect our ANGLOPHONES & ALLOPHONES rights? According to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms: Under 24. (1) Anyone whose rights or freedom as guaranteed by this Charter have been infringed or denied may apply to a court of competent jurisdiction to obtain such remedy as the court considers appropriate and just in the circumstance. (2) Where, in proceedings under subjection (1), a court concludes that evidence was obtained in a manner that infringed or denied any right or freedoms guaranteed by this Charter, the evidence shall be excluded if it is established that, having regard to all the circumstances, the admission of it in the proceedings would bring the administration justice into dispute. I have a copy of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom hanging on my wall in my home and it reminds me everyday of my rights as a CANADIAN! I do wish Stephen Harper would step in and do something on our behalf for us in Quebec who are not happy with Marois and the PQ. who have completely taken away our freedom and rights to SPEAK and WORK IN ENGLISH! Thanking you in advance for speaking up for us Anglophones!Flag

It has nothing to do with French which I speak perfectly but the fact they are anti-English. Enough money is being wasted and OLF has to go for many valid reasons. Protecting a language at the cost of breaching basic human rights is wrong. Quebec is still part of Canada and our taxes should no longer finance a fascist organizationFlag

QC's government is now, nothing more than incompetent, bigotted and racist. Montreal was a beautiful city that many loved, it's linguistic, ethnic and cultural diversity is what makes it unique and so well loved. Marois and her cronies are systematically destroying Quebec.Flag
