End Cholera in Haiti Now!
Petition to the
World Health Organization(WHO)
To
be delivered to the WHO in Haiti; at the U.N., 1 Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, New
York, NY; and at its World Bank office, 1889 F St., Washington, DC.
We the undersigned call on you to take the following
steps immediately to eradicate cholera in Haiti and the whole island of
Hispaniola:
Cholera is still raging in
Haiti. It has infected more than half a million people, killing more than 7,400
in Haiti and more than 400 in the Dominican Republic.
U.N. MINUSTAH troops brought
cholera back to Haiti in October 2010, and the U.N.’s World Health
Organization, as well as other international bodies and the Haitian government,
have the responsibility to act now.
ECHO is organizing this campaign in Haiti and internationally,
to bring pressure on those responsible for the epidemic to act immediately.
