The death penalty is pointless. I can name countless people who would rather die instead of getting sent to prison, including myself. In some cases, prison could be more torture than the electric chair. Also, two wrongs DO NOT make a right. If somebody kills a bunch of people, should they be killed? That is 2 wrongs, which do not make a right. Serial killers and rapists should be sent prison for life, which will let them be tortured for the rest of their lives, instead of being tortured for a few seconds in the electric chair or even no torture at all with lethal injection.
