The purpose of this project is to provide a free method of transportation for Eastern Michigan University students and faculty by means of using recycled bicycles. Goals: a. To determine the desirability of a Green Bike program around campus b. To provide an environmentally friendly method of transportation c. To acquire a bicycle facility located on campus for the purpose of rentals and maintenance. d. To increase the physical well being of students and faculty who partake in the program e. To decrease vehicle emissions and traffic around campus f. To encourage bike tours and comaraderie.
