Andrea Hazle | I am in full favour of the food festival going ahead, and see it as a positive celebration within the community.

malcolm juchau | Although not a resident of Emsworth, I feel strongly that the festival should continue. It was a very good weekend and I used to attend every year together with other relatives, some from Canada who were enamoured by the idea of a local festival.

Anonymous | I grew up in Emsworth and lived there for 29 years, but now live in Havant. The Havant market has turned cheap and nasty with quality produce a rarity..Keep the original food festival. It would be wrong to water it down and turn it tacky.

Lee Farndell | From the people that I have spoken to in and around Emsworth, there is not one person that I have come across that wanted the Food Festival to be cancelled. Everyone is confused as to who has made the final decision for the closure and the resaons behind it. I think the Chairman of the Board has a duty to disclose these reasons and finally clear up the confusion.

Liam Oxley | why has it been cancelled everyone is in favor if it
Kat Brown | My brother and his friends have always raved about the Emsworth Food Festival and it would be a real shame if they had to rave about McDonalds instead.

| 78 | Ellie Dawes | Getting rid of the festival is an awful idea, when it brings so much money into the town and supports local businesses at a time when this is really important.
I am mystified by this decision, and were I still living in the area I would definately consider running for council again to give this issue the full debate it clearly needs. |
John-Paul Rogers | I think the Food Festival is a great asset to Emsworth and the scrapping of the festival is a huge disgrace to all involved in the decision.

cesca wakefield | this is madness, the festival is a great event and i wholeheartedly support its continuation
Deanna Burdett | I am astonished that the Emsworth Food Festival has been scrapped! Thousands of residents,of which I am one, and visitors alike are all asking the same question, why? Sadly the vociferous few have denied the majority of our fantastic event. Sunday markets will not create the same atmosphere or professionalism of our 3 day festival. Bring it back, PLEASE!
