Name: Joe Westin on Apr 15, 2007State: ILCountry: USComments: Even though I have spent the last 20 years of my life actively involved in IT, first as a developer, then systems in general and finally QA (Quality Assurance), I'm just not sure what I was meant to do with the rest of my life, and that is, indeed, very scary. Pray for me. Amen.Flag

Name: Anonymous on May 11, 2007State: TXCountry: USComments: For the job I interviewed with at UTMB for a Receptionist in Anesthesiology Department. AS it will allow me to be near my daughter when she has to go into the hospital because she has been Diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma (cancer of the lymphnodes). And that I had a good feeling about the group and department and I would like to be a part of that in being able to help someone in need. Please pray for me for Friday - Monday the 5-11 to 5-14-07. Thank you for all your graces you have blessed me with Lord but I need a way to support my children and have insurance so if the cancer returns we will be in a better financial situation to handle things. I pray that it will become your prayer Jesus and Mary to the Lord our God. Present it to him as your request and not mine. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. AmenFlag

Global outsourcing is not the best solution for business and the national economy.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jun 9, 2007State: ILCountry: USComments: I am a former non Roman church secretary, divorced and have two sons. During the divorce I lost the job due to budget constraints. My ex is alcoholic and not to be found so there is no child support for the special ED senior in high school. My oldest is has some special needs issues as well although he is a honors college student. He works part time for now at the college to contribute to the finances which are grim now. The youngest special Ed son was working in a grant work project through his school until the grant was not refunded this year. During the divorce I had an injury to my knee which means I walk with cane, looking for jobs. And now a subsequent injury has my shoulder in a sling. All through the last two years I have been looking for jobs with a BS Degree already, and I have gone back to get more classes (3.5 GPA until I can't afford to complete. I have done temporary receptionist jobs but they have been scarce or so far away it doesn't pay to work them. I am quite capable to work but have a limited typing speed due to childhood burns to the hands which makes the job hunt limited, and I dont qualify for SSI or other assistance. I quite literally fall in the cracks except for food stamps. Now we are faced with homelessness because of our financial situation as of the end of June, 2007. I quite literally have $300 to my name. And some how I have to move without the volunteers I had the first time--neither son is strong enough physically to do the heavy stuff. My once strong faith is shattered. Where is the Christian compassion Please pray!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jun 20, 2007State:Country:Comments: Thank you. It's good of St. Hubert's to offer this opportunity for my fellow job seekers and me to put God first. We are strengthened as we realize that God loves us (each one of us!)and wants us (each one of us!) to succeed. And so, as we consider our next steps in how to develop our talents and share our gifts, it's helpful to acknowledge that each step (even the "baby" step) is blessed. As we stay close to God in prayer, we can expect success because a good and all-powerful, ever-present God, acknowledged in the Bible as Love itself, is guiding and protecting us (each one of us!). "The blessings already are" and as we count them and build on them, our way - our own individual, unique and blessed way - becomes clearer. (HOW we go, is no less important than WHERE we go.) In gratitude, I go forth for the glory of God and the highest good of all concerned.Flag

(It feels like a rude trick.) If that is the only way I can be added to this petition list, please disregard my submission. I would have appreciated a different method of solicitation of a donation. (I still feel that St. Hubert's is doing a great work.)Flag
