Graduate and Professional Students: Please sign below if you want ELISS to come to your campus!

Thanks to everyone who helped to reach an ambitious goal of 1500 signatures! We will continue to collect signatures until Friday, November 23rd at 11:59pm EST.

See www.aaas.org/eliss for more information about the program.

We will select five partner campuses from different geographic regions that show the most demand from graduate & professional students in multiple disciplines. After the student signature drive ends, we will contact university administrators to determine their institutions' interest in establishing campus partnerships.

Only graduate & professional students at partner campuses may apply for ELISS.

Signatures will then be delivered to ELISS staff in order to identify campuses with a large number of interested students. Partner campuses will be announced in January 2013.

ELISS is a one-year, competitive program for graduate and professional students in all fields, including basic and applied sciences, engineering, humanities, business, law, and medicine. Participants will engage experts and citizens in communities across the nation to better understand and address tough issues, ranging from health to environment to the economy. The hands-on experience provides a valuable service for society while preparing tomorrow's leaders to collaborate across boundaries to solve real-world problems. The program is designed as an extracurricular activity to complement full-time research or study. ELISS was founded by a dedicated group of young leaders and is hosted by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that reaches approximately 10 million individuals through some 261 affiliated societies and its peer-reviewed general science journal, Science.
