329 Jan GerenEnd the use of plastics. THese and other businesses have contributed to the demise of our ocean life as well as the world and should do something constructive to reverse their damage besides cashing in on the bottom line,

331 Alice Winfree BowronPlastic bags are now woven into gigantic no-oxygen areas in the oceans - one not too far south of our State of Texas. Sea life cannot live in these areas - and those animals that get stuck in this horrible mess cannot get out. Plastic bags on land overwhelm landfills and create toxins that last down the generations, poisoning wildlife, pets, humans and the water table. It was very simple to carry things in cloth bags and the like not long ago. "Progress" is not a good thing unless it leads to a better product. Plastic bags are merely "leftovers" of Big Oil. Most are made in China, and create horrific pollution there as a side product.
332 Jay SimmsA lot of stores are selling plastic bags for as little as 5 cents if you dont have a recycle bag. I suggest that if stores were to charge $2 to $5 per plastic bag (or even more!) it would ensure people would bring their own.
