Anonymous | In addition to the manufacturing requirements for plastic, the pollution from them is also a tragedy. Please discontinue the use of plastic bags for bagging groceries.

Heather Franklin | This is so important! Please help rid these bags to help preserve the earth for my 3 young children.
Anonymous | Please ban the use of plastic disposable bags for all the environmental reasons outlined. I don't think we can imagine the inconveniences we will face in the future for these small conveniences now. We should all retrain ourselves to bring reusable bags when we go shopping. I shop for groceries at Publx and if I forget my "green" bag I just buy another for a 99 cents and pass it on to a friend to use.
Pat Madden, SSJ | I think this is a great idea. It's time has come. I have my canvas bags for shopping.

Geraldine DeSapio | Get rid of these destructive bags that never disintegrate. They are smothering our oceans, fish and Earth.

Chad Johansen | It is not that hard, just ban them

Anne GRenade | I have used reusable grocery bags for years before it became fashionable and have been appalled at the indifference of shoppers. Nobody seems to care. I have written to at least 5 grocery chains asking them why they are not doing anything. The only ones doing something is Whole food followed by Giant.
