Comments: Of course if a student is studying off-campus (online), it makes sense that they should also be able to submit assignments online. Not only is Australia Post unreliable in their delivery times, I have received mail months later that has been chewed up by their machines. I'd hate that to happen to one of my assignments!

Comments: Great idea, otherwise am having to send off majority of assignments at least a day early to ensure they are there on time.. Would make it fair to be able to hand them in on same day as on-campus students.

Comments: This is a long overdue step, as the process varies so much from one lecturer to another. A uniform system would make the whole process less stresssful, and in doing so, help all off campus students be more productive.

Comments: As an off-campus student living interstate, I am currently at a disadvantage when submitting assignments because I must post it at least 10 days in advance of the due date in order to ensure delivery to Deakin on time.

Comments: As a distance learning student living in the UK, I would gratefully appreciate consistency with rules for assingment submission. Some lecturers are happy to receive them by email, others are not.

Comments: For those of us studying overseas, especially in developing countries the requirement to send assignments by mail can be very problematic (sometimes mail can take up to 8 weeks, if it arrives at all).

Comments: I am an off campus student and would appreciate changing to online submissions whether scanned and emailed or uploaded via DSO as this saves time and ensures less penalties if Australia Post delays submissions.

Comments: Agree that for offcampus students the assigment submission process should be streamlined and more equitable. It should not take another student to clarify the situation - many are in the dark about how to submit and whether they are entitled to submit online. One streamlined system for all offcampus students please.

Comments: Electronic submission only is preferred. The cost of printing out of the assignment (if required) should be borne by the university.
