Elected Officials Reform Act We the people, in order to assure the dreams of our forefathers, are dedicated to cleansing the government of the corruption that exists among our elected officials. We are dedicated to a future that includes a representative community without special favors, insulation, subsidies, privilege, protection and opportunities that arise from the benefits of public office. As a introduction to such change, we insist that the following take place regarding all elected officials. 1. Term limits for any office shall not exceed more than 2 consecutive terms or 4 nonconsecutive terms. 2. Elected officials shall not be party to any government contracts, funding or investment opportunities that arise as a result of the elected position. 3. All forms of tenure and pension are eliminated immediately and retroactively. 4. All elected officials (past, present and future) are subject to the social security system, Medicare and any government deemed healthcare programs to which their countrymen are subjected. All existing funds set aside for retirement or other benefits are to be liquidated into the current Medicare program. 5. Elected officials can no longer vote themselves a pay raise or any change to their current or future benefits. All raises and benefits must be voted upon by the country-persons they represent during general elections. 6. All elected officials must abide by the same laws as those imposed upon the rest of the country and held accountable accordingly. 7. Any agreements, contracts or laws made previously, currently or in the future are voided if they violate this amendment.
