"Many are not aware of the dangers in the body, including the connective-tissue killing Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Ehlers Danlos Syndrome is averyrare connective-tissue and collagen disorder. It has about 28,159 to 49,693 victims in the U.S.A. out of over 300,000,000 people. More than 1.5 million people out of over 7billionpeople in the world have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.

How is Ehlers Danlos dangerous? Ehlers Danlos Syndrome is caused by a defect in the collagen’s structure, production, or processing. It can also be caused by a defect in proteins that interact with collagen, such as mutations in the COL5A or the COL3A genes. Collagen is very important, because it’s a contributor to the physical strength of skin, joints, muscles, ligaments, blood vessels and your organs! However, Ehlers Danlos makes these structures more elastic; stretchy. These mutations, being very severe, are life-threatening, but many EDS victims die from the difficulties of the disease.

Sadly, there is no cure. EDS wins the battle by causing an aortic aneurysm in the victim’s body. The victim has no chance of surviving Ehlers Danlos. Us EDS victims have limited years, but we ask a favor. We ask to bring awareness of this killer.

There are 6 main types of Ehlers Danlos. There is the Hypermobility Type, Classical, Vascular, Kyphoscoliosis, Arthrochalasia, and the Dermatosparaxis type. These are all deadly, but they all have the same result of the aneurysm.

Do you have Ehlers Danlos? Here are some symptoms of it. EDS victims have Hyper-Flexible joints. We get sprains, bruises, dislocations, subluxation, and hyperextensions easily. You should stay aware if you have scoliosis, tearing muscles, kyphosis, tethered spinal cord syndrome, nerve compression disorders, or Valvular heart disease.

Did you know that the inspiration for the cure is a zebra? A few years ago, researchersstoppedresearching Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Researchers were very close to finding a cure. Now, we believe the research is gone."

I hope you realize the importance of a cure. We suffer everyday. Thank you.
