Name: Bill Raine on Sep 14, 2007Comments: Why pay for fishing when there are reducing numbers of fish due to commercial greed and stupid quotas. They will tax the air we breathe next. Our right to fish free is 800+ years old and worth fighting for.Flag

Name: Ken Marlow on Sep 14, 2007Comments: I would encourage the governments to put the funds received from such licence fees back into the industry as related to sportfishing. The reinvest of the funds from such licence fees will insure that sportfishing remains strong. It is a practice proven effective in the United States and other countries and should be adopted by all.Flag

The only threat to the fish in te seas are the professional fisherman...not the ones who like the sport and throw them back. It is better for the fish in the sea to stop the professional fisherman for a few years!!!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Sep 14, 2007Comments: I think the fishing industrie should take a long hard look at themselves and reduce the horsepower per boat to a minimum and fish with smaller nets to save the fish stocks. adding taxes doesn´t solve the problem it´ll extend the death stuggle of the industrie.be sensible respect the earth and all its creatures.Flag

Name: Peter Dohmen on Sep 14, 2007Comments: As long as all revenue generated by EU governments from Sea Fishing licences are not used to support either recreational sportfishing or the fishstocks in our European coastal waters, a sportfishing licence for sea angling is completely unrealistic and will effect touristic income.
