I admire you both. Please help me to help my Katrina district --LA-01. The DCCC has written my district off completely and does not even have LA-01 on their website! I have waged a hell of a fight for a year and a half, winning my primary by 70%. I do not have enough money for a media blitz but if you came to town, I would get free PR.
PLEASE consider my request. I refuse to give the Repubs this seat on a silver platter. My district is not for sale to the highest bidder.

Gilda has done better than any Democratic candidate in this district in many years and has received more money than any other Democratic candidate in this district in years. Her campaign has literally gone door to door, one on one, event to event and the people who meet her love her and are won over. If she could get your endorsement and her name out there, she could very well win. She doesn't have the funds for tv ads and her Republican opponent has been very quiet since his run-off, which has made many voters think the race is over and not aware that there is a general election due in 2 weeks.
Gilda would be an outstanding representative for the people. We need Reed.

Take a look at LA-01: more registered Dems than Repubs. Consistantly votes Repub. Why? Never a good Dem to elect. Now there is one: Gilda Reed.
Electing a Dem. in this district would do more to lift the spirits of NOLA than any other political act.
John & Elizabeth, I have supported you financially - and to this day - you alone as a presidential candidate. I appeal to you to shine the bright light of your endorsement on someone you will be proud of as a Congressman. It's the right thing to do - and the right thing for you to do. |
