"A primary object should be the education of our youth in the science of government. In a republic, what species of knowledge can be equally important? And what duty more pressing...than communicating it to those who are to be the future guardians of the liberties of the country?"

-- George Washington

From the beginning, the founders of this amazing country knew that over time governments will move toward tyranny if the people did not understand the republic.  Our founders understood the importance of educating the children on this grand experiment called the United States of America.  We have not learned from them and their wisdom.  We have allowed our federal government to expand beyond its' constitutional rights.  We have forgotten that "We" are "We the people".

We therefore request our State governments to require that every student from first grade through 12th year be required to take courses in constitutional study.  We request that they learn the 28 principles that the founding fathers used to create the document, as well as all phases of existing government, including the function of a free market.

“We must have an educated population before we can have a well run government.”

This petition will be mailed (in mail and email format) to our state government department of education by April 2nd, 2010.  If you support our effort to educate our children on our great country, please add your signature below.
