Name: Ryan Welch on Jun 13, 2009Comments: I can think of nobody better than Dr. Eddy to name the next solar minimum after. As the one who discovered the "Maunder minimum" he deserves the honor.Flag

Name: Douglas H. Wood on Jun 13, 2009Comments: Jack Eddy was one of those few scientists who are able take empirical observations and transform them into an important theory. Naming the next solar grand minimum in his honor is even more appropriate given his naming of Maunder Minimum after Edward W. Maunder, when he could have named it after himself as many scientists would have done.Flag
