Dear Chairman's Club Committee, In the wake of the tragic loss of a dear friend, colleague, and mentor, Ed Bahmer, we have come together to request the greatest honor a Delta employee can receive be posthumously granted. Ed was previously nominated for Chairman's Club on 2 occasions since our merger with Northwest Airlines, most recently in 2011. Although he did not end up making the final cut, we feel he should be given the recognition he earned. We request that special consideration be given in this case and that Ed receive the award. He touched so many lives at Delta Air Lines, in too many ways to mention. This man is irreplaceable and the recognition and honor of Chairman's Club couldnt be more deserved. It would honor him and allow his legacy to continue to live on. Thank you for your time and consideration.
