We, the concerned citizens of Lakeview, Long Island, New York are asking for your support by signing this petition to demand answers and action about the extreme neglect of Woodfield, Road (a.k.a. Derrick Adkins Road) a county road. Also to make sure all civil engineering and repairs are done correctly and immediately. This major Nassau County thoroughfare was supposed to be repaired as per the Department of Public Works Shila Shah-Gavnoudias in August of 2010. To date there has been no response from her office. Residents of the unincorporated Hamlet of Lakeview are beyond livid from the silence, neglect and empty promises made since Spring of 2010 in which the Ed Mangano administration promised construction would start the summer of 2010. The roadway is extremely dangerous and a public safety concern. This is not just a problem for our community but for all of ur communities.
