I am petitioning the United States Government to pass the following law: 1. That any person wishing to administer, supervise, or assist in Electro Convulsive Therapy or Aversion Therapy or any other therapy where an electric shock machine is used upon another human being in the name of mental health therapy and/or healing, must first be subjected to no less than 24 consecutive electric shocks (within a 24 hour period) him or herself at a high power setting similar to that which is administered to the average patient. This requisite will be required in order to obtain a license to practice ECT "therapy", Aversion "therapy" or any other therapy where electric shock is administered to a patient. This requisite will be supervised and audited by a third party to ensure compliance. The purpose of this petition is to end the barbaric practice of electric shock therapies in the United States of America. Law Enforcement Personnel across America are required to subject themselves to tazer and stun gun shocks before being allowed to use and carry such a weapon. This teaches the personnel to use it responsibly or not at all. I am modeling this electric shock law after the stun gun and electric weapons law used by law enforcement personnel with the hope that no person will want to give others harmful electric shocks after having experienced them him or herself.
