I petition that instead of lowering SS checks, soldier pay, or medicaid, that we instead lower the pay rates of the president, the Congress, and the Senate. The president earns a $400,000 annual salary, along with a $50,000 annual expense account, a $100,000 nontaxable travel account and $19,000 for entertainment. Congress and the Senate make $174,000. The average working American makes roughly $50,000 annually. I don't see why the people building this country should receive any less than the ones running it. That being said, I petition that the Senate and Congress annual salaries be reduced to no more than $50,000 a year, and the presidents be lowered to no more than $75,000 annually simply because he is our designated leader.
