Name: Matthew Gray on Jan 18, 2012Comments: Make it easier for small silk screening businesses to stay open and American citizens to earn a living. Don't make silk screeners test their products. If the ink and supplies pass the test and the shirts pass the test, let people make a living without regulating the shit out of them. Most things lead are banned anyway. Make all imported items be tested. Problem solved.Flag

I have now upped my product to 13 and up to avoid all this turmoil...which is completely ridiculous. As a crafter, we should not have to test our products if we are ordering supplies from large companies that have already done the testing...outragedFlag

Name: INAA on Jul 24, 2012Comments: Great question, and thnkas for the inspiration for our next post! Not everyone was wrong… there were plenty of individuals that profited handsomely that joined the party early and left while they were ahead. It was all about timing and a healthy dose of luck. Unfortunately, most individuals jumped on the band wagon too late after hearing about windfalls made by friends and family or simply got caught up in the frenzy and greed factor. Keep in mind, when a market crashes, financing becomes more difficult. Much of our recent recovery is resulting from “cash” buyers that feel the time is now right. Bottom line… if you can afford to buy and you feel comfortable doing so, by all means, I would look into it. Yes, the future is always uncertain. Could everything come crashing down? Could the market fall again? Absolutely. However, by waiting for all certainty that things are on the right track, buyers will most likely end up paying much more.Flag

No offense, but everyone was wrong about it a fewyears ago, so why do we think it will get better in the future? Just because hiousng is better priced and rates are lower? Unemployment is still a serious problem. And, the debt our country seems to accumulate every day. I personally think renting is the best option right now.Flag

Name: Esteban on Jul 24, 2012Comments: Not sure if I know what I'm talking about yet, but irtmops will be scrutinized in Consumers Union's email really got my attention. My fear is that it only means that foreign products are not going to be held the same standard as those made in America. If all foreign products are not stopped, DEAD, at the border until they're deemed equally, at least, as safe as American products, then they're not worthy of acceptance on our stores' shelves. Are we being scammed again?Make the standard as tough as you want, but American workers, I believe, will always strive to make a safer, better product for their fellow Americans or anyone else . and if they don't, they're right here to be prosecuted for it.Slave labor, wherever it exists, will only (continue to) enslave us.Flag

Name: Anjum Sohail on Jul 24, 2012Comments: lead content in zipper teeth and puller was 600ppm and now reduces to less than 100ppm i think it is a ridiculous notification of CPSC lead content should be less than 100ppm in metal zipper specially brass zipper is not harmful and does not release lead because it is base metal not coatedso its effects are not dangerous. I am totally agree with you that for a small manufacturer these tests are very expensive and unafforable.Flag
