Name: Jesica Milton on Nov 24, 2008Comments: I urge the CPSC to make reasonable amendments to this legislation. I am a small manufacturer or adult apparel, but this affects my industry as a whole in a negative way. I am in no way against the stricter safety regulations for childrens products, but this should be something for the fabric and input manufacturers to be held accountable for - not the manufacturers of the final product.Flag

Name: Danielle Hughes on Nov 24, 2008Comments: I buy my items from a large manufacturer and then screen print them. I can barely afford my LLC taxes, let alone paying to test something that has already been tested by American Apparel. Please help change this law so home-based businesses like me can continue to do safe, honorable business.Flag

Name: Jamee Mionie on Nov 24, 2008Comments: We need congress to look at each product type and make rulings base upon accessability and the potential risk of lead and other dangers to that product type rather than imposing blanket standards for toys, clothing, textile products, and all other products.Flag

Name: Dan Marshall on Nov 24, 2008Comments: We own Peapods Natural Toys and Baby Care in St. Paul, MN. We too would like to see common sense regulation that ensures safe toys without driving small manufacturers out of business, particularly Fair Trade and domestic manufacturers.Flag

Name: Robin Martin on Nov 26, 2008Comments: This updated regulation is a poorly thought out knee-jerk reaction to the greed of a few BIG corporations who chose to import and market dangerous products - yet it is the SMALL business owners and home-based artisans who will suffer. Please punish those responsible rather than making others bear a crippling and unfair burden.Flag
