701 Anonymousmy utility bills have risen by 50%, we struggled to manage anyway, now it is almost impossible
702 ron flynnI fully support the petition to reduce the cost of electricity and gas that we, thepublic, are paying at this time. It is disgusting to think that we are having to think twice before we put our heating o,n because we may overstretch our household budgets and this while we see the companies increasing their profits and shareholders benifiting from our discomfort. ron

704 Anonymousi think these prices are totally unaffordable and i strongly agree that the cost should be lowered as people will no longer be able to live! think of these single parents it is a disgrace.
705 Peter FarrellI am disgusted that the goverment continue to allow utility companies to keep prices high, even when the price of oil has dropped. The goverment should force them to drop them and back date this when the oil started dropping in price.
706 Lorraine NewmanThese companies are always very quick to put prices up but they never come down again when there costs decrease.

708 Aidan Dennyutility charges are just ridiculous and this is what you get with private ownership, they HAVE to earn a profit in order to pay shareholders, and customers come a very poor second.

716 AnonymousYes - the government should nationalise the energy companies now so that they are really not being run for a profit. Ebico have not raised prices as much as some other suppliers. Strange though, that they are doing this when the price of gas is actually falling from its record high.
717 AnonymousAll essential supllies water gas, electric etc should be privatised and run as non proffit making, they are after all essential to life, especially for the elderly the sick and young children. It is a disgrace that foreign firms make hundreds of millions in proffitt out of supplies we can not do without.

724 Dawn HurstPrepayment meters are legalised extortion. The government is guilty of allowing energy companies to act as unregulated profiteers. The sick, the elderly and the very young are suffering and dying in freezing temperatures. It is a national disgrace for a government to abandon its people ti this level of brutality. The companies have admitted their greed and should be stamped on for abuse of the system.

735 thomas robertsi think that something should be done about not being given any relief on water rates for owner occupiers who are pensioners when most council rent payers get a full rent rebate which includes a portion for this extortionate rate
736 w.hughespeople must stand firm together, against the ob scene profits made by these powerful companies who raise their prices if anyone sneezes but do not lower them as quick.

739 Dylan PerryNo British citizen should be living below the povertly line. Higher prices are forcing more and more working class people and families under the poverty line, and somehow our government feels capping the min wage is a good idea! Where is the morality in our governments decisions.

745 R FlemingI think there should be a windfall tax on each individual shareholder too. This is the FOURTH winter ive had to spend most of my time in a sleeping bag with 3 or 4 hot water bottles because i cant afford to heat the house. But what can you expect after 30 years of Thatcherite govts with Thatcherite policies.

749 AnonymousGas prices are day light robbery. My monthly payment has gone up from £67.00 to £119.00 a month for a two bedroomed house with single occupancy. Time for a reduction, there is no need for Companies to charge these prices. Its daylight robbery!!!!!!
