Bay Area non-profits, and groups working toward becoming a non-profit, are very dissapointed and upset at the closing and \"re-arranging\" of the East Bay Resource Center. The Center has helped countless non-profits with personalized help and training. The Center also has helped groups with an idea of helping others in the Bay Area, develop their plan into a non-profit organization. The center was closed without prior warning and the dedicated and helpful staff discharged. Please sign this petition so that the City of Oakland understands that we care, and we badly need that center, and the staff.
total mistake closing this down. those people knew what they were doing and helped so many small groups get started. fix this.

This place was a lifesaver when we were getting our foundation off the ground. Oakland needs to support the people actually doing the work in the community instead of shutting them down.
