Doreen Perrine | Authors are artists who deserve the same rights as any other. If our original works are pirated, our artistic integrity is compromised.

ELAINE BREAULT | E-Books need protecting since it is a hard thing to do and easy to mass produce and pirate and the author and publisher will never see a dime from it unfortunately. Hopefully all electronic book buyers will adhere to the rules since E-Books are cheaper than print for a reason. Good luck enforcing itand helping out everyone. thanks...

Lorie (Raine) McIntyre | Although I write to have someone read, it's not easy & it's not free. Would those pirating our work think it fair if we just decided to appropriate part of their paychecks just because we could?
Betty @ Love of Romance | Let's make the copyright enforcement fair.
Anonymous | this is as bad as video/DVD piracy.

Robin Worthington | The sale of used print books also results in lost revenue for authors, although the one benefit is that an author's work is read by someone who might not otherwise spend the money to purchase the book of an unknown. However, in the case of e-books, when royalties are all the author earns, there is a serious loss of revenue. Thanks.

Devair Pruitt | You can't walk into a bookstore and pick up a book and walk out without paying and not suffer the consequences. There should be a set standard for ebooks that will stop pirate sites from walking away with books without paying. No one has the right to steal, be it an ebook or someones lively hood which in alot of cases are one and the same.

| 243 | Paul McDermott | I wish to assert my inalienable RIGHT to the Intellectual Property of MY ORIGINAL WORKS!
I wish to support all other creative artists who feel themselves bypassed and/or ignored by the apparent LACK of action on the part of US authorities who are supposed to protect said rights! |

Anonymous | As a writer, my book has been pirated and distributed on file-sharing sites, and my royalties have dwindled to zero. How am I supposed to make a living?
Bryan Dumas | piracy in books should be held to the same statndards as movies music and software
