56 AnonymousAs a newly published author myself I too have come across this with my fellow authors. It's a form of stealing and something needs to be done.

62 Maryann McLainPirates hurt everyone in the long run, since the authors and publishers they steal from will slowly stop producing due to lower profits. This is a real problem.
63 AnonymousI thought our nation's motto says, "...justice for all..." Or is "all" not including authors and publishers?

79 AnonymousI believe that if an author puts their work into whether a play, movie or book that need to be paid for their work. That is why I supported the writer's strike in Hollywood CA.

89 William P. Lemmond, 3rdI know a married couple in Arkansas, very small press publishers, who are doing well to sell 2,000 copies of one of their magazines. They have been tipped off by their fans that some people have scanned their magazines, uploaded them to file sharing sites, where they are disseminated with no payment to the publisher or creative artists. Please go after the people who are doing this. Make it an Interpol matter if you have to.
