| 22 | Cherry Dumas | I am both a published author AND a concerned reader. I love books and love to write books and it breaks my heart, and my wallet, when these books are illegally made into ebooks without the publisher's or author's permission. please step into action like you have done with movies and music and bring a halt to piracy for books. books are even more sacred then those of movies and music and should be treated as such and for piracy to steal that away, action should be taken. |
| 23 | Christopher W. Wilcox, Sr. | There is no difference between a file sharing site carrying ebooks and a shop fencing stolen goods. Both are criminal acts and those involved should be prosecuted. |

| 25 | John Jay Jacobs | I believe that publishers should be protected the same as the film and music industries! |
| 26 | Anonymous | Authors pour hard work and dedication into every book, just like any recording artist pours their heart and soul into every song. Please make the changes necessary to ensure that their work isn't stolen and shared illegally. |
| 27 | Jude Mason | As an e-published author, I find it abhorent that my writes have been so completely ignored by the law enforcement agencies. Theft of e-books is like any other theft and needs to be stopped. |

| 29 | Carol C. MacLeod | As president of EPIC, this is one issue at the top of my list. We need the same protection as everyone else. We have a right to it and the law guarantees us that right. Please do the right thing by us and help us in our fight against piracy.
Thanks!
Carol MacLeod

| 33 | Michael Barnette | I've had my books pirated and lost who knows how much in royalties. My books, which take me weeks and months to write, should have the same copyright protection as other forms of media are given. Like musicians who just want to be paid for their work I too want to be paid for my work. |

| 39 | JennaKay Francis | About time! I don't mind giving my books away myself, but I don't like someone doing it for me. |
| 40 | Dee Dee Rivera | As the owner of an e-book company, I can tell you I don't pirate other people's books. Our company only creates e-books of stories from our own network of creators. |
| 41 | Cassie Exline | Our written words are our livelihood and deserve to be protected from theft. |
| 42 | Rowena Cherry | Copyright should matter. We pay the Library of Congress a fee to register a copyright because we want copyrights to mean something. |

| 47 | Stephanie Stewart | Please consider and pass legislation to crack down on this problem. |
